You must do this because the installer deletes itself automatically when it finishes installing Lion.Ģ. Move the copy into your Downloads folder. Go to your Applications folder and make a copy of the Lion installer. After Lion downloads DO NOT click on the Install button. After downloading Lion you must first save the Install Mac OS X Lion application. After you capture the installer then you can make a bootable flash drive:ġ. See the following: Downloading Hardware Specific Lion Installers. In order to do that you need to download the installer for your model. You cannot unless you make your own bootable flash drive.
